With an impressive academic and professional background that spans a B.S. in Science, Technology, and Society from Stanford University, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tulane University, and a doctorate from Vanderbilt University, Dr. Ge. combines her expertise as an engineer and educator to address the challenges of inequitable STEM education.
STEM Skool operates with a clear mission: to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, has access to quality STEM learning opportunities. The organization’s approach is both inclusive and innovative, designed to engage students through culturally relevant programming and hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity and confidence in STEM.
Key to STEM Skool’s impact are its three flagship programs. The STEM Skool Micro School provides an intensive, personalized STEM curriculum for PreK-12 students, helping them build foundational skills and prepare for advanced study. The Community After-School Engineering (CASE) Program brings hands-on engineering projects to underserved communities, fostering creativity and practical problem-solving. Additionally, STEM Educator Design Thinking Workshops equip teachers with tools to create dynamic, student-centered STEM learning environments.
Dr. Ge. founded STEM Skool to address systemic disparities in education and to empower students, particularly those from underrepresented and low-income backgrounds, to excel in science, technology, engineering, and math. With scalable programs and a commitment to bridging achievement gaps, STEM Skool envisions a future where students are not only proficient in STEM but prepared for sustainable careers that will shape tomorrow’s innovations. Dr. Ge.’s leadership and vision continue to inspire educators and students alike, transforming the STEM landscape one program at a time.
